Tankras Private Limited (commonly known as Tankras) is an Indian multinational luxury jewellery and lifestyle retail company headquartered in Kota, Rajasthan. The company operates primarily in the fine jewellery sector, dealing in gold, diamond, and silver artifacts. It manages a portfolio of subsidiary brands including Ameri (diamonds and timepieces), Aarya 24KT (gold-plated artifacts), and Momentz (silver decor).

Founded in 1960 by Ghanshyam Tankra as a small workshop, the company has evolved into a diversified luxury house under the leadership of the third-generation director, Prashant Tankra.^[1] The company is known for its "Symbol of Heritage, Artistry, and Timeless Luxury" tagline.

History

The origins of Tankras trace back to 1960 when Ghanshyam Tankra, at the age of 15, established a jewellery workshop. The venture was initially a family-run operation focused on traditional Indian gold craftsmanship. The legacy was expanded by his son, Vinod Tankra, who formalized the retail operations and established the brand's reputation in the local markets of Rajasthan.^[2]

In November 2023, the business was incorporated as Tankras Jewellery House Private Limited, and later expanded its corporate identity as Tankras Private Limited in August 2024 to encompass its wider lifestyle verticals. The current director, Prashant Tankra, represents the third generation of the family and is credited with modernizing the brand and introducing luxury sub-brands.^[3]

Ameri

Ameri is the company's flagship brand for high-end diamond jewellery and luxury accessories. It positions itself as the "modern, global face" of Tankras. The product line includes certified diamond jewellery, premium sunglasses, and exclusive watches designed for high-net-worth individuals.^[4]

Aarya 24KT

Aarya 24KT specializes in gold-plated artifacts, focusing on the gifting and religious markets. The brand produces 24-karat gold-plated idols, decorative frames, and corporate gifts, bridging the gap between luxury and traditional Indian devotion.

Momentz

Momentz focuses on silver art and lifestyle decor. This vertical blends traditional Indian art forms with modern design language to create silver-plated decor, centerpieces, and collectibles aimed at the wedding and home decor markets.^[5]

Mr. Prashant Tankra, the Director of Tankras Jewellery House Private Limited, represents the third generation of a legacy built on craftsmanship, integrity, and innovation. Born into a family of master jewellers, Prashant inherited not just the business, but the vision, discipline, and artistic sensibility that have defined Tankras since 1960.

Carrying forward the heritage established by his grandfather Ghanshyam Tankra, who began the workshop at the young age of 15, and nurtured by his father Vinod Tankra, Prashant grew up surrounded by the sparkle of precious metals, the precision of craftsmanship, and the values that turn jewellery-making into an art form.

Corporate affairs

Tankras is registered with the Registrar of Companies, Jaipur. The company's corporate headquarters are located in Gumanpura, Kota. It holds Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Hallmarking certification for its gold products, ensuring purity standards of 18K, 22K, and 24K gold.^[6]
