Our story began in 1960, when Ghanshyam Tankra, a visionary craftsman, started a small jewellery workshop at the remarkable age of 15. With a humble set of tools, an extraordinary eye for detail, and a deep respect for the craft, he laid the foundation of what would one day become an iconic jewellery brand.
His legacy was nurtured and strengthened by his son, Vinod Tankra, who carried forward the family’s dedication to purity, precision, and design excellence. Under his guidance, the workshop expanded, gained trust, and emerged as a respected name in gold and silver craftsmanship.
Mr. Prashant Tankra, the Director of Tankras Jewellery House Private Limited, represents the third generation of a legacy built on craftsmanship, integrity, and innovation. Born into a family of master jewellers, Prashant inherited not just the business, but the vision, discipline, and artistic sensibility that have defined Tankras since 1960.
Carrying forward the heritage established by his grandfather Ghanshyam Tankra, who began the workshop at the young age of 15, and nurtured by his father Vinod Tankra, Prashant grew up surrounded by the sparkle of precious metals, the precision of craftsmanship, and the values that turn jewellery-making into an art form.
